It is that time of year again!!!
Time for our Campaign Leaders to get trained. The CFD will be holding three different trainings during the month of June that will focus on how to run a successful campaign in your agency.
As you may have heard in the news, our Secretary of State and co-chair of the Combined Fund Drive Kim Wyman was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.
While doctors are optimistic that she will make a full recovery, the CFD and Office of the Secretary of State are partnering up to do their part for our boss.
You can buy one of our exclusive Wyman Rocks the Socks wrist bands, with proceeds going to Harmony Hill, an organization that helps women fighting cancer find a place to stay if they are struggling.
What an event!
Once again, the CFD was joined by 500 of its closest friends for an inspiring breakfast. This year, the keynote speaker was former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who told the inspiring story of his recovery from a career ending spinal cord injury, and what he is doing to change the world.
Ever wonder what the CFD and its member charities have going on?
The CFD keeps an updated calendar of events for different charitable functions happening around the state. The calendar includes not only CFD events, but get togethers our charity partners are having as well.
As the CFD moves forward, the program faces the challenge of connecting with younger state employees.
Recognizing that the majority of new employees to state government are firmly categorized as millennials, the CFD hosted focus groups to learn more about these employees and charitable giving.
