Are you interested in advancing your career potential? If so, this interactive course is for you. The Combined Fund Drive's Management Development Experience is a three (3) day course is available in Olympia, Spokane, and Seattle that will give you the tools to strengthen your leadership abilities while bringing out the best in those you work with. Learn how to motivate others to take initiative and encourage your team members and colleagues to establish and exceed common goals.

Course instructors, Rick Lynch and Steven McCurley are the authors of Volunteer Management, a best selling book about volunteerism. They are featured speakers at volunteer management conferences throughout the world.

The MDE is perfect for:
• Public Sector Campaign Volunteers
• Supervisors of Campaign Volunteers
• State Employees interested in volunteering with the Combined Fund Drive or another non-profit organization

After taking this course you should be able to:
• Identify behavior and strategies that foster individual and organizational effectiveness.
• Create a win-win spirit of teamwork and partnership in working together for mutual gain.
• Learn volunteer recruitment and selection processes and practices in order to recruit the right volunteers.
• Develop a project plan to effectively manage a workplace campaign.

Upon completion, you will receive credit for Supervisory Essentials II along with a certificate of completion from Washington State University.
