Other Special Campaigns and Promotions

Even though the Annual Giving Campaign runs from October 1 through December 31, the CFD holds special campaigns and promotions throughout the year. Two of the highlights for this year include a special disaster relief campaign for the victims of the Oso Landslide and the CFD's 30th Birthday Party. Both events showed the incredible power of generosity that comes from our state's employees.

In one of the most touching displays of generosity ever seen in the history of the Combined Fund Drive, hundreds of Washington State employees, dozens of private citizens and even some out-of-state good samaritans came together to bring more than $70,000 in relief to those victimized by the horrific landslide that devastated the Oso area on March 22, 2014.

They came, they saw, they took pictures with the Lombardi Trophy...

Celebrating 30 years of the CFD was done in style, with brats, burgers, a beer garden and a live auction. There were even appearances by Governor Jay Inslee and Secretary of State Kim Wyman. Oh, and the Seahawks loaned the CFD their Super Bowl trophy.
